Tamara has extensive experience in the areas of private equity, venture capital and venture debt transactions. She has represented private equity and venture capital firms, corporate investors, individual investors, companies, entrepreneurs and law firms in United States, Europe and other locations in hundreds of transactions, ranging from seed round financings to large syndicated private equity transactions.
Irrespective of size when working on financing transactions, in addition to handling the legal work and ensuring that her client’s interests are represented and protected, Tamara’s objective is to help the transaction go as smoothly as possible from a relationship standpoint, and proceed quickly and efficiently in terms of overall cost and resource expenditures.
Tamara has worked with top law firms in the San Francisco Bay Area and in London, and has also worked as inside counsel of companies that have sought and obtained financing. She also frequently represents investors on initial investment financing rounds, follow-on rounds and on ongoing portfolio company management matters. As a result, she appreciates the dynamics that can be present at the company’s executive team and board level, among investors and existing shareholders, and the need in all cases to plan for and manage these dynamics throughout the financing process and on an ongoing basis, if and when engaged in portfolio company matters.
In addition, given her international experience Tamara also appreciates the different legal and cultural perspectives and issues that can arise in financing transactions and with companies on an ongoing basis when there are companies, investors and differing advisors located in multiple jurisdictions.
